Master Nepali craftsman created this absolutely exquisite jeweled prayer book cover with intricate gold and silver plated filigree copper decoration. On one cover are four figures carved from semi-precious stone: Manjushri (turquoise), White Tara (copper), Amitabha Buddha (coral) and Green Tara (turquoise) - each separated by two of the eight auspicious Buddhist symbols. The outside cover has the hand-tooled eight auspicious Buddhist symbols. Inside is a prayer/mantra book handwritten by a Buddhist family in the Himalayan region of Nepal and is hand-decorated with pictures of deities drawn by a Buddhist monk. The detail and craftsmanship displayed in this unique masterpiece is remarkable.
